Voices for Israel

Please join us for a special evening of music as we come together as a community to commemorate the nine month anniversary of the tragic events in Israel on October 7th. A cast of talented performers will be singing songs from Broadway and more in this heartfelt tribute to benefit Israel. Am Yisrael Chai.

Margaret was a theatre and voiceover actress for decades in New York where she was a member of the TACT off-broadway company for 17 years. More >
She has performed all over the US and received the SF Critic’s Circle Award and Dean Goodman Awards for best actress roles in San Francisco. She is is a graduate of the Univ. of Michigan Musical Theatre Dept. After training with monks in India and Fiji for many years, these days she leads groups in teaching meditation and mindfulness. < Less

Lauren toured with the USO, entertaining our troops and veterans with performances on army, marine and submarine bases, naval ships, at Bob Hope’s 100th birthday, on NBC’s “Today Show,” and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She is currently working on her new piece, “Mr Weinert’s Sixth Grade Assignment” about the life of her grandparents and the effect of the Holocaust on her family’s life. Rony Goffer
Rony is an alumna of Beit Zvi, Israel’s foremost school for musical theater. Favorite roles include: Elton John and Tim Rice’s “Aida” (Amneris), “Hamlet” (Gertrude), “A Chorus Line” (Shiela). More >
She is also a part of a published songwriting team and wrote songs for top Israeli artists, both in English and Hebrew. More recently, she co-wrote “I’ve Got You”, the first single off of dance diva Martha Wash’s latest album.
In 2010, her first single “Winning” was featured in Sony Music and Rise Sport’s album for the FIFA World Cup.
Rony was also a front woman of the sensational pop group, XELLE, known for their outrageous, conceptual music videos, with millions of views on YouTube. With XELLE, Rony has toured all over the US opening for such acts as Joan Rivers, En Vogue, C+C Music Factory, and Salt ‘n’ Pepa.
In 2017, Rony reached #11 on the Billboard Dance Club Chart with “Light Beams” (DJ Extasia and Zach Adam Feat. Rony G). < Less
Drew Seigla
Richmond, VA native Drew Seigla is a standout among theatre and opera audiences, recognized for his “stunning tenor voice” by BroadwayWorld.com. More >
Seigla made his opera debut as Gastone in Verdi’s La Traviata at Lyric Opera Virginia, and sang the role of Bruno in the world premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s The Garden of The Finzi-Continis with NYC Opera. He continues to sing house concerts, oratorio symphonic works, and operatic concerts.
For over a decade Seigla has taught and continues teaching private voice lessons in NYC with a focal point on vocal technique and acting/connecting to the song.

Michael James Byrne, Director
Michael James Byrne III is a graduate of California State University of Channel Islands Performing Arts program. He earned his BA in Performing Arts (Theatre Emphasis) in May 2012 and is now living in Manhattan. More >
Michael is best known for premiering the role of Pip, the critically acclaimed and audience favorite original Stephen Schwartz show, Magic To Do (directed by Broadway’s Gabriel Barre) onboard the Emerald Princess in 2015.
Michael has performed across the globe ranging from rock to classical musical theatre. Other career highlights include Drew in Rock of Ages (NCL – Original Broadway staging), Tony in West Side Story, Chad in All Shook Up, Emcee in Cabaret, and Bert in Mary Poppins.
Theatres performed include Moonlight Amphitheater, Cabrillo Music Theatre, La Mirada Performing Arts/McCoy-Rigby, West Virginia Public Theatre, Ocean State Theatre, and The Rubicon Theatre Company. Cabarets include 54 BELOW, Don’t Tell Mamma, and The West End Lounge.
Michael is also an extreme (DIE HARD) movie buff with a strong liking in *well made* Hazelnut Lattes with oat milk and hanging out with his best pal and puppy, Misha. < Less
Abram Foster, Musical Director
Abram Foster is a professional theatre pianist and music director based in New York City. More >
He has worked from various pianos and keyboards off- and off-off-broadway, and regionally for high schools and community theatre groups. He additionally plays piano for auditions, weddings, choirs, dance classes, camps, tapings, and every stage of the development of new musicals. He has also worked as a composer and arranger for television, publication, shows, and ensembles. Abram’s professional Jewish music experience (some as a vocalist) includes the Hampton Synagogue Choir, The Zamir Chorale, Zamir Noded, multiple conducting fellowships at the North American Jewish Choral Festival, and appearances at Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, and the Metropolitan Opera Stage. He is a proud recent alumnus of the BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. < Less
