The Art of Cantillation

Have you ever wondered how the musical notations of the Torah are chanted? If so, please join Cantor Debra Stein, Rabbi for a new seven-week Lunch and Learn course on Mondays at 12:30pm, beginning December 1. We will learn the cantillation markings, their names, and the melodic notes that create the art of chanting Torah. Hebrew is helpful, but not required, as we will learn cantillation using Hebrew prayers that you may already know, such as the V’ahavta, the Sh’ma, and Mee Chamocha.
Bring a dairy lunch, we will provide coffee and dessert.
This is in person for members, virtual for non-members.
