Mitzvah Day

It’s our annual MITZVAH DAY!

Once again, we are proud to partner with Supplies for Success to pack 500 backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need. This will be a full-community effort, and we need helping hands of all ages to unpack boxes, set up assembly lines, fill backpacks, and help with cleanup and delivery.

We are also partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters for a clothing drive. This is the perfect opportunity to do some spring cleaning and bring your gently used clothing to help make a difference in someone’s life. Drop off your clothing donation on weekdays 10am–4pm or on Mitzvah Day.

Our day of giving will end with a community barbecue to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together.

One of the mitzvot (good deeds) that Jewish people around the world hold close to their hearts is Tzedakah, meaning “justice.” Tzedakah is a responsibility of all Jews to help those in need, through acts of service, tangible goods, or financial donations.
