How do we help our children face antisemitism with confidence, resilience, and pride in who they are?

Join Rabbi Josh Franklin for a meaningful and age-appropriate book group for 5th–7th graders and their parents, centered around the book Don’t Feed the Lion. Together, we’ll explore the book’s powerful message about recognizing fear, responding to hate, and strengthening our sense of Jewish identity.

Participants (both students and parents) should read the book in advance, so that our time together can be focused on thoughtful discussion, shared reflection, and practical takeaways.

This will be a guided, interactive conversation designed for families to learn with each other—not just about antisemitism, but about courage, empathy, and what it means to stand tall as Jews in today’s world. Participants will leave with language, tools, and a shared framework for navigating difficult moments with thoughtfulness and strength.
