Yizkor

The Yizkor (Memorial) Service is a time to open the doors of the past and to revisit the memories of our loved ones who are no longer with us. Derived from the Hebrew root zachor, Yizkor means, “may [God] remember.” Our Yom Kippur Yizkor service marks one of the four times throughout the year that we join God in this rite of eternal respect and remembrance.
