Havdalah with Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz

Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz will join us during Shabbat on the Beach and Shabbat Morning Service, including teaching with a Musical Sermon in Song on the weekly Torah portion. Joined by fellow musician Sam Weisenberg, we will close with a spiritual and musical Havdalah and spend the final hour of Shabbat singing with soul under the setting sun in the beautiful JCOH sanctuary.

Proof of vaccination required.


Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz
Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz, an educator, practitioner, and facilitator of Jewish communal music, supports those seeking to deepen a practice of empowered song and connective prayer with curiosity, skill, and heart. Deborah strives to use song as a tool in the process of unearthing the grassroots creative spirituality of the Jewish and global people. She has sung and composed some of the most up and coming Jewish music and serves on the faculty and administration of Hadar’s Rising Song Institute.


Sam Weisenberg
Sam Weisenberg, a percussionist and guitarist, has written, produced, and sung all throughout North America and Europe. He has recorded and performed on records for artists across genres, including as a percussionist with the Hadar Ensemble. He has collaborated creatively with Deborah for over a decade.
