Good and Evil, Suffering and Joy: Ancient Advice for Understanding my Life

November 10, 2019 @ 12:30 pm–1:30 pm

The Bible offers two distinct ways of understanding our lives. And we get three more ways from three ancient books that were eventualy cut from the Bible. These extra books — which take the form of allegories about familiar characters like Adam and Eve and Abraham, along with lesser known characters like Enoch — offer perhaps the more detailed insight ever recorded into the nature of our lives.

We’ll study all five ancient approaches, and explore ways of incorporating them into a framework for understanding modern life.
