The Wartime Sisters by Lynda Cohen Loigman
|This is the fictional story, rich with realistic relationship complexities, of two estranged sisters raised in Brooklyn. Both are burdened with their own shocking secret. In the early days of WWII, the two siblings are suddenly reunited at the Springfield Armory only to find that they couldn’t be more vastly different. While one sister lives in relative ease on the bucolic Armory campus as an officer’s wife, the other arrives as a war widow and takes a menial position in the Armory factory. Resentment festers between the two, and secrets are shattered when a mysterious figure from the past reemerges in their lives.|
