A Theology for Our Time: Rabbi Lawrence Hoffman’s Open Letters to His Students

November 7, 2022 @ 4:00 pm

In March of 2020, Rabbi Lawrence Hoffman began to write a series of open letters to his students on varied topics including: Jewish food, sin, Freud, democracy in America, and the theology of COVID-19. His writing gave the Jewish world the words it needed to unpack the physical and spiritual pandemonium happening. What unfolded from his letters – which he still continues to write — is a Jewish theology for our day from a Jewish prophet and sage of our time. Join Rabbi Josh Franklin for a class unpacking and discussing these letters, and the issues that they address.
